Staff

Beaver Meadow’s Day Camp operates under a permit issued by the Wyoming County Department of Health. To meet requirements for this permit, our facility is inspected once prior to camp, and once again while camp is in session. To meet the requirements of the permit, staff must have have training and certain certificates. Each year, our staff members exceed the minimum requirements for a Day Camp permit.
Staff:

  • Paul Fehringer, Fulltime Senior Naturalist, Camp Director & Explorer group Counselor
    9 years experience at Buffalo Audubon, Red Cross First Aid & CPR Certification, Canoe/Kayak rescue trained
  • Nicole Fehringer, Fulltime Camp Naturalist Counselor
    Red Cross First Aid and CPR Certification
  • College Intern, Camp Naturalist Counselor
    This position is currently open. Once hired, this person will undergo a good deal of training prior to camp, including Red Cross First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer

Ratios:

Your child will be in a group in which there are no more than 16 children per 2 adults.  Each camp group will have two camp naturalists.  All camp staff undergoes a week of training before camp starts.
